Perkins American Food Co. is hiring a Vice President of Marketing

About the Role 

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Marketing to lead our marketing  organization and drive brand growth, demand generation, and revenue impact. This role owns the  marketing vision, strategy, and execution across all channels, and serves as a key member of the  leadership team, partnering closely with Sales, Product, and Finance to align marketing initiatives with  company goals. 

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can balance big-picture strategy with operational  execution, build and mentor high-performing teams, and use data to continuously optimize marketing  performance. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership 

• Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy that supports business growth,  revenue targets, and brand positioning. 

• Partner with executive leadership to align marketing goals with overall company strategy and  OKRs. 

• Own the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across channels for  maximum ROI. 

Brand & Positioning 

• Define and evolve the company's brand identity, voice, and market positioning. • Ensure brand consistency across all customer touchpoints and marketing materials. • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to refine positioning.

Demand Generation & Growth 

• Oversee demand generation strategy, including digital marketing, content marketing, SEO/SEM,  paid media, and events. 

• Build and optimize the marketing funnel in partnership with Sales to drive qualified pipeline and  revenue.

• Establish and track KPIs (CAC, LTV, conversion rates, MQL/SQL volume, pipeline contribution) to  measure marketing effectiveness. 

Team Leadership & Development 

• Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing marketing team across functions (content, product  marketing, growth, brand, communications). 

• Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and  continuous improvement. 

• Recruit and develop marketing talent to scale with company growth. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

• Partner with Product to inform go-to-market strategy, messaging, and product launches. 

• Collaborate with company and franchise operations to support guest retention, upsell, and  customer advocacy programs. 

Analytics & Reporting 

• Establish a data-driven marketing culture with clear reports on performance against goals. 

• Present regular updates to executive leadership and the board on marketing performance and  strategy. 

• Use gate testing, attribution modeling, and marketing analytics tools to inform decision-making. 

Qualifications 

Required 

• 7+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role (VP,  Head of Marketing, or similar). 

• Proven track record of building and scaling marketing functions that drive measurable revenue  growth. 

• Strong experience across both brand marketing and performance/demand generation  marketing. 

• Demonstrated success managing and developing marketing teams. 

• Excellent analytical skills with experience using marketing analytics, CRM, and marketing  automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo). 

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (MBA a plus).

• Multi- unit restaurant or hospitality experience
